Tim Malloch, B.Mus., C.Ens., was born in Nova Scotia where he began studying the flute at the age of 14. During the three next years, he was recipient of nine awards and scholarships and at the age of 17 was accepted into the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. In 1990, Tim Malloch won the Montreal Pro Musica Scholarship and has shared his talents with over 60 musical groups, throughout Canada and the United States, in over a thousand concerts with nearly 70 recordings for CBC and SRC radio and television networks. Tim teaches instrumental music at the French highschool Paul-Gérin-Lajoie-d'Outremont where, in 2007, his students and faculty nominated him for National Music Teacher of the Year with CARAS. Tim now plays and teaches music in Montreal where he is in high demand as a performer and as an adjudicator, most recently with Musicfest Quebec, the Toronto International Music Festival, the Yamaha Soloist and Small Ensemble Competition and for the last three years, Musicfest Canada. |
